On February 22, 2023, I had the great fortune of being in conversation with the brilliant artist--writer, Ayanna Dozier, at Microscope Gallery (525 W 29th St, 2nd Fl, New York 10001),
in connection with her current solo exhibition at the gallery “This Country Makes it Hard to Fuck,” which features new works in film and film photography.
The show is open until Sunday, March 11, 2023. Please attend if you can. Dozier captures the underbelly of black femme desire and hurt with an exhibition that is dripping with deeply embodied seduction and eroticism.
